Central Indiana is getting it's first "big" winter storm of this season. Of all days, Mike had to travel to the east side of the state today for work. He's on his way home now but called to say it would probably take him at least two hours via I-70. He said the roads were fine on the way over there this morning. Now there is accumulating slushy snow on the interstate. I do not envy anyone having to be out on the roads today. I'm also not going to grumble too loudly because I know that the further east this storm tracks, the worse it becomes. So ya'll have my sympathy...unless, of course, you like this stuff. Then enjoy it for what it's worth!
This is looking across the neighbor's back yard this morning at 9:05, when the snow was first starting to come down.
Later, at 1:02 p.m. See the snow sticking to the trees? That's the east side of the trees. Someone told me all the "bad" winter storms come from the east. I don't know if that's really so. Can anyone verify that?
And a close up of snow on the tree branches at 2:13 p.m.
Now I'm going to head outside and try to push some of the snow off the driveway before it gets too deep and too heavy. It's the wet, heavy stuff.I know I'm way behind visiting everyone's blogs. I hope to catch up soon. Enjoy your weekend.GO COLTS!!!
