Camera Critters #4

Eating a steady diet of walnuts and apple cores must be pretty boring. The neighborhood squirrel has developed a taste for the woodpecker's suet. Not surprising, I guess, since it has peanut butter and peanuts in it as well as a variety of seeds. (Click on any photo to enlarge.)

Squirrel: Since this is the time of year when everyone's interested in diet and exercise, I'm going to show you that it's not necessary to own the Wii to get in shape. Just do the following curling crunches and you too can have a "six pack" like me! If you master these, you can also probably get a job performing with Cirque du Soleil. Just look at my strong abs and hind legs, and how flexible I am!

I was going to show you my most recent video, but Blogger is not being very cooperative at uploading tonight. It will have to wait until another time. =(

Snow Day

Central Indiana is getting it's first "big" winter storm of this season. Of all days, Mike had to travel to the east side of the state today for work. He's on his way home now but called to say it would probably take him at least two hours via I-70. He said the roads were fine on the way over there this morning. Now there is accumulating slushy snow on the interstate. I do not envy anyone having to be out on the roads today. I'm also not going to grumble too loudly because I know that the further east this storm tracks, the worse it becomes. So ya'll have my sympathy...unless, of course, you like this stuff. Then enjoy it for what it's worth!

This is looking across the neighbor's back yard this morning at 9:05, when the snow was first starting to come down.

Later, at 1:02 p.m. See the snow sticking to the trees? That's the east side of the trees. Someone told me all the "bad" winter storms come from the east. I don't know if that's really so. Can anyone verify that?

And a close up of snow on the tree branches at 2:13 p.m.
Now I'm going to head outside and try to push some of the snow off the driveway before it gets too deep and too heavy. It's the wet, heavy stuff.

I know I'm way behind visiting everyone's blogs. I hope to catch up soon. Enjoy your weekend.

GO COLTS!!!
